Is Mechagenesis still being supported?

Postby Ryoku » Wed Jul 14, 2010 2:10 am

With the release of Transformers War for Cybertron I once again had the desire to play a morphing bot pen and paper game. I own Mechamorphosis and was quite pleased with it but disheartened that it had no support after the first book.

I was told of Mechagenesis being a better version of Mechamorphosis. After fighting with myself for a week I finally grabbed the PDF of it and was pleased. The book seems to be almost a verbatim interpretation of the previous version with some good new additions.

But I also learned that the book seems pretty much dead. The newest discussions I could find on the topic are about a year old. Many of them are asking for information about a green lit second book. Seeing as how there is no newer information it seems this second book was quietly canceled.

So in one last gasp I ask here. Is this book and series a sole occurrence? Is there anything still happening with the property? Does anyone actually play the game still?

Even if the answers are negative ones I'm in the same boat I was in a month ago. With a good system that will do what I want for this genre.

I know the new book was briefly mentioned in a recent podcast but I haven't heard much after that. I haven't played a game of it recently, I ran a one-shot a few months back that was fun. I would really like to see the new book and would buy it first opportunity I got.
