Samurai Steampunk Showdown Style and Assorted Other Important Bits

Hello All.

In the "what's going on with Iron Dynasty" department, I'd just like to announce that in addition to the progress we're making on the RPG, I've got a clever, clever man whom I've known for a long time who's taken on the arduous task of adapting the setting for use with the Showdown rules. We spent the better part of a day last week going over the seven major factions of the Iron Dynasty and after working through a lot of the specifics regarding breakdowns of troop types, archetype variations by factions and, oh yes, the inclusion of the mighty war machines and those mecha you've heard rumour of as well.

By the time we were finished, we both wanted to break out some minis and play, so I just want to thank Stacy Young for stepping up and officially welcome him to the Blur!

On some other points, the development team for Agents of Oblivion is concocting all types of madnesses and progress begins in earnest. Yesterday, I spent about half the day outlining the sections of the book, part of it beginning to compile my scattered notes and scribbles, and another part of the day itemizing all the art that is going to appear in RunePunk and the rest of the day editing RunePunk. Hmmmmm. No wonder I've been so beat. I like to stay busy.

Regards,

Sean

True20 News! Welcome to Matthew Kaiser and Starfall Jungle!

Hello All,

Got back from GenCon last week and posted on a few forums here and there, but never made my weekly updates hear. Please don't consider me overly derelict, I didn't get to unpack either. Why, do I hear you ask? Because I hit the ground running Monday morning, ignoring the siren coolness of some new games I snagged at the show (ummm....research?) and got elbows deep into RunePunk and into layout for Agents of Oblivion: Starfall Jungle.

I'm happy to say that, thanks to Erica Balsley, we now hold the title for first True20 Licensed Scenario! Pretty cool, huh? I thought you might think so. Worth delaying this update and living out of my suitcase for a few more days, eh? Now, I should really unpack, however, as I'm tired of stumbling over the cursed thing in the dark.

I've also been reading over some of the Big List of creatures that Matthew Kaiser will be working on...speaking of which, he is listed among the luminaries of the Dream Team or Doom Patrol, depending on your perspective. He'll be Reality Blurs resident beastmaster, concocting lots of madnesses for all of our enjoyment. We're happy to have you on this project, Matt!

Check out the entire Dream Team here.

We have more news but don't want to overload your sensors. You'll have to wait until later. ;)

Regards,

Sean

GenCon is Nigh

Hello All.

I'm entering my last observation and commments prior to heading off to GenCon.

I'll be running demos of RunePunk and Agents of Oblivion on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, before heading home on Sunday.

Meanwhile, I'm getting together a last few bits of things I'm working on for reviews to my editors and readers to mull over while I'm gone.

I've gotten in the preliminaries on the Savage Worlds version of Orwell Industries and it is looking good. It should be ready to go shortly after GenCon.

What's after that? I've gotten in the conversion of Starfall Jungle for True20 Agents of Oblivion, so that should be coming out in the next few weeks as well. If you're at GenCon, come out and play!

Things are moving apace and RunePunk is on the imminent horizon. I'm looking forward to running some games and just want to let everyone know that the RunePunk games nearly full. One spot left open in one session as of today!

Take care and hope to see ya there!

Regards,

Sean

Work Continues Apace on RunePunk; Agents of Oblivion Gets Underway; Orwell Industries is Near!

Hello All.

The delay in the update yesterday is due to a continued focus on the work of RunePunk. I'm well into the necessary bits of revamping for the GM's section and have expanded out a few areas that I felt could do with a little bit more expansion, namely the city district and barrens encounter tables. What does that mean? Even more encounters for your gaming pleasure.

In other news, I'm pleased to announce that the True20 version of Starfall Jungle is nearly complete and glad to say it was neatly handled by Erica Balsley and should be coming your way in the near future. Woot!

Regards,

Sean
