Once More Unto the Breach!

In a word, Origins was great. I got an opportunity to not only talk shop with veteran designers, but I got to play in some of their games as well and make new friends. In addition to running some Iron Dynasty sessions, I got to see some friends and fans over the course of the show. It doesn’t get much better than that, now does it?

I got in late last night and am awfully tired today, so I took the day off to catch up on sleep and prepare myself for the busy week ahead. My mind is abuzz with anecdotes and delicious slices of the show that I intend to reflect on and share over the course of this week.

A few happy notes: Innsmouth Confidential was well received when we played it and I had a great time playing Fiasco with Jason Morningstar, Bob Bretz, and Jody (whose last name escapes me at the moment).  I had a great time hanging out with Norm Hensley and Dave Olson. Additionally, I had a great time playing Technoir with its designer, Jeremy Keller, Keira, and Jason Morningstar on Sunday morning–a great end game to a great show.

My mind is still processing the past week, but I had a great time swapping stories and talking shop.

Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu!
