The Closer I am to Fine

I have to admit, the past few days I’ve felt a bit shabby. This is one of the main reasons I’ve been rather scarce. Sometimes getting over an illness requires getting away and changing one’s environment (it can do as much for the body as the soul). I have managed to sketch out some notes about some upcoming projects and get some reading done.

Feeling more myself today, though I don’t wish to jinx my condition by talking about it or make any of you feel melancholy for knowing my physicality has been touch and go, an admixture of malaise and insomnia layered over a handful of symptoms each in themselves only an annoyance but thrown together quite distracting. Fingers crossed, the worst is over. I think I was a bit over optimistic last week leaping back into the fray with more vim and less vigor than generally suggested.

The next few days I’ll be taking it easy, jotting down ideas and inclinations and letting my mind wander as the mood strikes me. Rome wasn’t built in a day, after all. I appreciate your indulgences as I wax and wander a bit away from writing and design for just a bit. I promise we’ll be returning to our regularly scheduled topics soon enough.

Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu!
