More tremulus Madness: Innsmouth, KS Exclusives, Playsets, and Page Count

Sep 21st, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Hello All, We’ve been rolling out a lot more updates on tremulus and we’re pleased that you have pushed it well over 825% and we still have 10 days to go! This is amazing!!! What I find as even bigger news is we’ve exceeded a 1,000 backers! This is fantastic and should mean you’ll be able to find someone to play with. After all, it works really well over Skype and the like. I’ve run well over seventy hours of the game online at this point, playing with such folks as John Rogers! The anticipation of this release is growing […]

The KS Exclusive Playbook for tremulus!

Sep 19th, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Hello All, I generally like making everything we do available for purchase or as freebies to as broad a base as possible, but one backer, Rune, suggested we offer up a little something, The Philanthropist. I convened a meeting with the launch team for tremulus and everyone loved the idea, so we’re offering it up to every reward level. It’s our way of saying thanks for helping us spread the madness! Best, Sean

Some Thoughts on the tremulus Kickstarter

Sep 17th, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Hello All! I’ve been very active on social media and across the web since the launch of the tremulus Kickstarter, but I only paused to realize today how I’ve not been giving you a daily dose of the Razorwise Report. I admit I’ve thought about it from time to time, but managing a KS is an exhausting, all consuming experience as you can ask anyone who has been involved in one can attest to. I see a lot of folks talk about the nuts and bolts of the business side of things, the marketing, the getting the word out, and […]

Enroll in Monster Academy!!!

Sep 6th, 2012 | By | Category: The Mad Lab

Matt Forbeck is a friend and one cool cat. He’s humble, gracious, and an all around great guy. That he’s talented is icing on the cake. I’ve dug his earlier works, such as Carpathia and Amortals, yet I’m particularly intrigued by his latest Kickstarter project, Monster Academy, so wanted to give it a special shout out. You see, he’s slanting his latest trilogy towards the YA audience, but not just the YA audience. Savvy? I recall one or two authors who’ve managed some success with this in the past. Let’s see what Matt has to say about this: Monster Academy is […]

tremulus is GO!

Aug 27th, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

The Kickstarter has launched, so today is going to be filled with nervous excitement for all the Blurry Ones. Let’s face it, we’ve been hugely excited about tremulus for lo the many days leading up to this. So, since my hands are largely shaky (too much coffee, perhaps?) and I cannot type straight, why not listen to a more serene version of myself talking about tremulus, so you can hear what you’re getting into? T3: the tremulus trailer teaser: Let the Countdown Commence! Launch date August 27th!

Aug 21st, 2012 | By | Category: The Dirt

Hello All! We are officially counting down the days until the launch of tremulus on Kickstarter. It will go live next Monday, August 27th. Of course, we need your help. Please spread the word around that our storytelling game of lovecraftian horror is coming. While we have a nice, tidy video to go on Kickstarter, we also wound up with this video which is more of the extended dance version. We thought it a pity if you guys didn’t get a chance to see this. Props go out to Justin Suzuki, Lyn Harm, who were instrumental in making this whole project really […]

Happy Birthday, Mr. Lovecraft!

Aug 20th, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

I’m happy to announce publicly, on HPL’s birthday, that we’ve submitted tremulus: a storytelling game of lovecraftian horror to the powers that be at Kickstarter for approval. We put the finishing touches on the story of tremulus and the stretch goals on Saturday and the video yesterday. Many thanks to Lyn Harm and Justin Suzuki for working closely with me on this. Lyn oversaw the editorial bits and pieces while Justin found the excellent music for the video, smashed together all the bits and pieces, and did some outstanding still photography featured in the second half of the video. You’ll […]

Savage Worlds and Kickstarters: A Noir Addition to the Deadlands Canon

May 15th, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Today, there has been a LOT of buzz about Pinnacle’s first foray into Kickstarters. It’s interesting because I had a talk with Shane about these over dinner at Origins last year. You see, I’ve been planning to do a Kickstarter of some sort for some time. I just have been gathering data, working on my own projects, and figuring out exactly how to execute the thing. A lot of my friends and industry colleagues have met with some great success and I’m happy to see that Pinnacle is taking a step out of the traditional publishing model as well as […]

Agents of Oblivion: Teaser 1

Jul 25th, 2011 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

As I write this, I started to say we’ve been slogging along, but that doesn’t sound particularly sexy, now does it? So let me instead say we’re making some fantastic progress with Agents of Oblivion. We have a terrific, fan favorite, artist lined up to handle our art needs, and we’ve leveraged our relationships to have a longtime friend write the introduction for us. I had promised you guys a sneak peek at what we’ve been up to and the setting has evolved a lot from when it was conceived back in 2004 and we appreciate your patience with us. […]
