Rumors, Rumblings, and Whatnot

Mar 31st, 2015 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Recently, someone asked if we were alive and kicking. We are. Products still come out. I’m active on the social media outlets (mainly Twitter @realityblurs, but sometimes G+), and have been less active on the website. It’s because the website needs work. You know this. We know this. And we’re working on it. We’ve teamed up with a great web developer to make everything nice and shiny. So, I decided to postpone talking too much on here until we got things rolling, and I could tell you guys, “Hey, look!” But I can’t have you thinking we’re lost in the weeds. […]

Painting Leaves and Other Pastimes

Aug 26th, 2013 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Autumn is right at a month away…September 22nd, according to Google, so I’m getting a jump on things. Right? I know. Not really. I’ve been quiet lately, as I work on things. Both Ravaged Earth and Karthador made their premiere at Gen Con for Savage Worlds, letting the world know we still have love for that most excellent system. I gotta tell you, working on that while also playing catch up on the tremulus line has been exhausting (to say the least). Plus there is the whole real private life of yours truly which has been expanding beyond just the […]

The Cold, Wet Facts

May 3rd, 2013 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Imagine a cold day in November. The angels weep in the heavens. The skies are grey. Now transpose such a day into a Friday, this Friday. Melancholy, thy name is Memphis. Though I spend a better part of each day in the gentle glow of a monitor, my mood shifts based upon the weather, and, to be perfectly honest, my health and temper are sometimes impacted by the cold. My back aches from the cold, and I get growly. As a rational being (most of the time), I recuse myself from human contact at this points, because I don’t need […]

One Flooded Friday

Apr 19th, 2013 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Last night, there came a rain. The rain cleansed the streets of Memphis, and brought in cool breezes, overcast skies, and left damp earth as a reminder of its passing. That’s not all, however. The Mad Lab was exceedingly swampy. It’s rare we get such heavy rains hereabouts, so rapidly. It rains, sure, but it’s no Seattle. And the ballasts experienced some outages, so, as it turned out, I worked in as near a dungeon environment as I ever want to. It was cold. The lights were flickering, and there was a small pond near my desk chair. The floor […]

April Showers, Dark Matters, and Black Dawns

Apr 10th, 2013 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Today there was a scattering of real rain drops amidst scattered metaphorical storms. Sleep was fleeting last night, but I had enough reserves to work through a haze, fully awakening mid-afternoon while I worked on some Ravaged Earth materials, fine-tuning the layout for its imminent release. In other matters, I’ve been working through the stretch goal materials for tremulus, doing the requisite research and brainstorming such matters take. Needless to say, my mind is adrift with dark matters of all sorts. The madness grows. And, in conclusion, I’m working on something you can really sink your teeth into for Agents […]

The Quietude and the Maelstrom

Jul 31st, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

For all you regular folks wondering where I’ve been, there has been multiple factors conspiring to prevent you from getting a regular dose of my razor wit. The first and foremost has been the heat. It’s been ridiculously hot, and while I’m able to block it out and work on, when the work stops, I find myself in a little inferno and I am utterly and completely drained. The only thing on my mind is the heat, and, believe me, I’m sparing you from adding to the commentary everyone’s been having about the weather. The second, and far more interesting reason, […]

A Day in the Mines

Jul 19th, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Today, I had a simpler day than yesterday, but nonetheless quite busy. I managed the tremulus playtest group. Some of our playtesters have already started playing the game and it will be exciting to find out where they take it! I reviewed some beautiful incoming art pieces for Ravaged Earth: Second Edition and it is simply phenomenal. And then I managed the usual rigamorole  of catching up with an assortment of emails, and then it was on to laying out the next One Shot for our ENnies nominated Agents of Oblivion. Yes. You should go over there and vote. Voting is now open! I tinkered with a few […]

Other (Savage) Things Afoot

Jun 15th, 2012 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

I’ve spent the last few days talking about tremulus. Thanks for indulging me. I’m certain I’ll talk about it quite regularly as we move forward, but this post is for all you Savages out there! Ravaged Earth is next up in our queue. Our crew is putting the spit and polish (more the latter than the former) and we’re working out details for the art. Rest assured. It’s not too terribly far away now. And behind that is a lot of stuff for it. Eric has been busy, busy busy! There are guidebooks and adventures and all sorts of things for […]
