Rumors, Rumblings, and Whatnot

Mar 31st, 2015 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Recently, someone asked if we were alive and kicking. We are. Products still come out. I’m active on the social media outlets (mainly Twitter @realityblurs, but sometimes G+), and have been less active on the website. It’s because the website needs work. You know this. We know this. And we’re working on it. We’ve teamed up with a great web developer to make everything nice and shiny. So, I decided to postpone talking too much on here until we got things rolling, and I could tell you guys, “Hey, look!” But I can’t have you thinking we’re lost in the weeds. […]

Inspiration and Perspective

Jan 15th, 2015 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Much like a fish unaware of the water in which it swims, I posit you are adrift in an ocean of ideas at any given moment. It all depends on how you choose to look at things, how you contextualize them. Look at things through a macabre lens and those scissors resting on the edge of the night table take on a different aspect than they might otherwise. What you have to do is exercise your imagination. What are the extremes you can take a concept, how far are you willing to go. Once you know the outer boundaries of […]

Make the Abyss Blink First: Agents of Oblivion: A Storytelling Game of Horror & Espionage

Aug 15th, 2014 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Real life events have been smashing and crashing into each other, providing little opportunity for me to truly engage with the community the way I would most like. For quite some time, my interactions with you have been largely hit and run. An obscure message on Facebook, a handful of posts on Google+, a chance encounter on Twitter, an update on our tremulus Kickstarter. While nice and all, the time has come for me to re-emerge from the shadows and re-engage with you all. Time marches ever onward, and I would like to make an announcement prior to the results […]

Rumblings from the Mad Lab

Jun 16th, 2014 | By | Category: The Mad Lab, The Razorwise Report

Life is wonderful. Isn’t it? It has its ponderous moments. Its chaos. Especially in this digital age. There are heights and depths and all sorts of other bits of madnesses for us to uncover, discover, be blindsided by, and survive. And there are the creative impulses and entropic pulls that keep things altogether interesting (whether we want them to be or not). The crew and I have been quietly writing and brainstorming and mulling and gnashing teeth and all the other things you may (or may not) expect us to be doing. Yet, I’ve not been writing the Razorwise Reports […]

Dancing in the Shadows

Today, I completed more tremulus stuff. A draft of The Journey has been sent off for editorial review. So, that’s really cool. So that only leaves a little bit more to do. And for those wondering, while the bulk of The Frozen Wasteland is complete and we’re just tweaking a few of the finer bits of it. And, yeah, The Asylum is going through final edits, and then on to layout. Everything is getting done. I’ve gotta say that the playbooks are really some work. Fun work, but definitely brain burners. You see, The Journey and The Frozen Wasteland are […]

And the Beat Goes On…

Aug 28th, 2013 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

You’ll likely notice I didn’t post yesterday. It’s okay. Really. I didn’t get eaten by a land shark, or get caught up in a malevolent maelstrom, or have any earth-shattering chaos befall me (well, at least not yesterday). I spoke about balance, and have decided that, at least for awhile, I’m going to shoot for posting thrice weekly. (And if you guessed I’d be aiming for MWF then give yourself a no prize because that’s the plan.) This way, I can still accomplish my daily personal and professional goals (chiefly the fitness and the writing) and have a bit of […]

Painting Leaves and Other Pastimes

Aug 26th, 2013 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

Autumn is right at a month away…September 22nd, according to Google, so I’m getting a jump on things. Right? I know. Not really. I’ve been quiet lately, as I work on things. Both Ravaged Earth and Karthador made their premiere at Gen Con for Savage Worlds, letting the world know we still have love for that most excellent system. I gotta tell you, working on that while also playing catch up on the tremulus line has been exhausting (to say the least). Plus there is the whole real private life of yours truly which has been expanding beyond just the […]

Fingers on Keyboards as the World Whips By

Jul 1st, 2013 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

The summer heat threatens to swallow us whole, promising only to spit out baked, blackened bones at some future date. This year, I am ready. I am lost in other worlds, wrapped in distant vistas, and faraway places, caught up in my own thoughts and those ephemeral, transcendent transmissions of imagination. It’s a good place to be. The flurry of the physical fulfillment of the tremulus KS is well in hand. We still have deliverables to complete, and get to our backers, but things are moving on at a good clip. I have been busy, despite the quietude of the […]

Take the Fun Seriously

May 16th, 2013 | By | Category: The Razorwise Report

I am still diligently working away on the tremulus materials. I’m enjoying developing it immensely, but am saddened by the delays. The bomb ticks. The guilt rises.  This is likely something I shouldn’t be sharing with you. However, I am. As much as I want to move swiftly through the materials (to better get them into your hands), there is a certain amount of thought and research necessary to pull some of this stuff together. I don’t want to shortchange anyone with my efforts, just want to give you a heads up. If there are moments when I talk about […]
