A lot of you reading this have a regular routine with a few deviations here and there. For the most part, it’s no different for me. Despite working from home, I get up early and go through a regular routine too. For those who think writing or game design is fun and easy, you’re way off. While there is definitely a hearty degree of fun, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. As an example, I’m going to give you an abbreviated snapshot of how my day went today. I got up, checked email, checked our project management system, [...]

Sean took some time out recently to do an interview with Gamer’s Haven Podcast in which he rambles on quite a bit about his personal gaming history as well as the past, present and future of Reality Blurs and its games.
There’s a lot of secret, eye-opening plans leaking out from the Mad Lab and into the public via this podcast interview, so give it a listen if you want to hear what we’re up to!

Hello All, RunePunk is going strong and, as far as I know, everyone that’s read it really seems to be enjoying it. I got a comment from Angus of Cubicle7 that his store (in London) sold out of every single copy the first day! Thanks to everyone for wanting to explore the streets of ScatterPoint as much as I do. Seriously. Thank you. In other news, The True20 Companion made its debut today and has already received a nice review here. I worked on the horror section with Erica Balsley and it include the horror system I originally developed and [...]

Hello All, Got back from GenCon last week and posted on a few forums here and there, but never made my weekly updates hear. Please don’t consider me overly derelict, I didn’t get to unpack either. Why, do I hear you ask? Because I hit the ground running Monday morning, ignoring the siren coolness of some new games I snagged at the show (ummm….research?) and got elbows deep into RunePunk and into layout for Agents of Oblivion: Starfall Jungle. I’m happy to say that, thanks to Erica Balsley, we now hold the title for first True20 Licensed Scenario! Pretty cool, [...]

Hello All. Just wrapped up another round of edits on the Player’s Section of RunePunk and it turned out nicely. I needed to expand and expound bits here and there for you readers who are not familiar with the setting. I appreciate everyone’s support and consideration and assure you that the entire book is done and it’s just going through the shining things up phase and compiling bits and pieces of art. On the True20 front, I’ve gotten to see the layout and art and everything for the Worlds of Adventure book and send in my last minute niggles for [...]

Hello All. Now, I can talk a little bit about some of the things veiled in secrecy. Reality Blurs and 12 to Midnight have been working out particulars on Agents of Oblivion for quite some time. This is just smart business for both companies. I’ve grown to know the 12 to Midnight guys since becoming an SW licensee and they’ve been gracious and insightful and quite friendly. It’s nice to have some seasoned peers to bounce ideas off of and we’ve developed a nice personal friendship. Here’s the backstory. When the True20 setting search was announced, I told them my [...]
