It’s the End of the Week as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
Another rough and tumble week here at Blurry Central as I continue to recoup and prepare myself for the creative onslaught the new year has in store for us. I’ve been mulling over new ideas, reviewing old ones, and, in the evening hours, catching up with some video games.
What’s in my consoles? I’ve been playing (like a lot of the rest of the world), Skyrim. Additionally, I’ve been play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Uncharted 3. There have been some really solid releases. I haven’t had an opportunity to sink any reasonable amount of time into video games for the bulk of this year and, now that I’ve had a chance to get some gaming on, I’ll admit to missing the gaming and enjoying the creative inspirations I get while playing them. My ideas may not have anything whatsoever to do with the game I may be playing at any given moment. In all likelihood, my ideas are often worlds away, but for me, video gaming is often like taking my mind out for a stroll. While I enjoy a good game, I often am more intrigued by the frustrating bits and what makes them frustrating as this leads me to addressing problems I see in a mental design space.
Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu!
