Agents of Oblivion Now Available for Savage Worlds!

The New Recruit (Agents of Oblivion PDF): $10 Buy it now!
Ready for horror-fueled espionage action? Agents of Oblivion wants you!

Agents of Oblivion is the highly anticipated Savage Worlds setting book we like to call The Perfect Cocktail of Horror and Espionage. Within these pages grace everything you need to play the style of spy game you want to play from “The Company Line” where every nightmare and conspiracy you can imagine is real and you can wield the powers you need to drive back the darkness to “Spy versus Spy” where you can take things on in a gritty brutal fashion.

John Rogers, creator and executive producer of Leverage, says it nicely in the Intro
“You have in your hands a rules set that lets you play anything from “Spellslinging Spy vs. Alien Brain Eater” to “Harry Palmer vs. That Unpleasant Fellow from Bulgaria.” They haven’t glossed over any of the little nuts and bolts you need to play a realistic spy game, if that’s your desire – they’ve just streamlined it to be Fast, Furious, and Fun. That I can use one setting to play both those extremes is impressive as hell.”

Let’s break things down a bit more:
Agent generation is designed with flexibility in mind and expands the Savage Worlds base rules while remaining true to them. Within are options to even modify your agent’s abilities between missions. Add to that resources and you have a setting which truly shines—spytech, special training, SUDs (single use devices), and a multitude of ways to trick out your loadouts and options to grab!

If you’re the Director, there’s plenty for you within these pages as well. Advice on how to integrate spy and horror themes into your games along with details on modeling your campaign into one of the seven campaign frameworks and a robust spy sampler where we show you how by example of how to create a campaign in each of the styles. Combine this with mission generators, creature generators, and more and you can leap into the modern world of high stakes espionage and horror with complete confidence.

13 Notes on, Agents of Oblivion Now Available for Savage Worlds!

  1. Will the PDF be made available through RPGNow? It’s just that I like to keep all my PDF purchases together.

    – Neil.

  2. Absolutely! Agents of Oblivion is available there now. I always like to encourage everyone to buy directly from us however as it’s the absolute best way to support our hard work and fair prices. :)

The PDF will eventually move to $15 and the book looks like it’s going to retail for $30, so folks taking advantage of the print preorder bundles are getting the sweetest offer.

  3. Thanks Sean. I appreciate the supporting the producers thing, as I said, I just like all my PDFs in one place. Makes remembering what I’ve bought that little bit easier.

Off to RPGNow now to grab a copy.

    – Neil.

  4. Will non-US distributors also honour the pre-order bundle offers? I’m particularly asking about Cubicle 7 in the UK.

  5. No worries, Neil! It’s just one of those things I have to say. I appreciate your patronage and totally understand wanting to have all PDFs in one place!

Mortmere, our preorder bundles are offered exclusively through our website and our offers extend internationally. We worked through any/all kinks on earlier releases and have many loyal customers on your side of the pond. :) I should mention we don’t have any affiliation with Cubicle 7 other than knowing Angus and Dom socially and professionally.

  6. If it weren’t for the dang tax office here in Denmark nailing me to the wall on orders from the US I’d definitely take advantage of the pre-orders. I will be keeping an eye out at our FLGS once it goes into general distribution tho :)

  7. Egads! I am running a Savage World fantasy game right now, and I was talking to friends of mine about running an espionage game, but couldn’t decide which system to use. I was leaning towards Shadowrun – until now! You’re psychic!

  8. So I saw that the description mentions 7 campaign frameworks. Is a sci fi espionage game (with the flavor of the TV show Fringe), an option? To me horror and espionage are a weird blend, but I have long wanted to play a contemporary sci fi game, and I am wondering if AOO might be the way to go for that type of game.

  9. Jesse!

Yes. You can easily do that!

    Regards,

    Sean

P.S. Greg, I knew you were going to say that. ;)

  10. Ah, I’m an Elite Agent ! I feel *so good* about this. James Bond meets Cthulhu. This item has manifested (festered, aged, whatever) as I had hoped. Excellent! The PDF is extremely satisfying and I look forward to the publication, just to smell the ink.

Thank you. This will be perfect for depriving my future players of assorted faculties and sanity.

  11. I’m digging AoO, but any word on the printed delivery date? I am very much a dead-trees kinda guy.

PS: My captcha looks like a really perverse Harry Potter spell…

  12. Kurt, AoO hits distribution channels in March and preorders shall ship before then.
