Agents of Oblivion Submitted for ENnies Consideration

After the fantastic reception of the setting by fans and critics alike, we’ve decided to submit Agents of Oblivion to the powers that be. We hope we’ll make the cut. Who knows though, right? It’s a mystery!

And, before you ask, we didn’t submit it for an Origins award because it came out after the cut off date of November 15th, 2011. It’s quite likely we’ll send it off next year (especially if someone reminds me).

As a general rule, I don’t send stuff off to contests. I think it’s cool when my friends and colleagues when and, sure, I’d like to have a fat stack of trophies and such adorning the walls and shelves of the Mad Labs, ultimately, there is a lot of stuff coming out all the time, and I just dig the fact you guys are enjoying our games. So, you may ask, why are we sending this off for consideration? I’ve gotten a number of missives from folks who think Agents of Oblivion might just have the chops to go the distance. The nudges are cool. The preorders and the way it’s flying off the shelves support the theory that a lot of you folks dig all the hard work we’ve put into this.

Thanks for that.

Another thing is I can be very competitive. As a result, I try to stay out of frays as much as possible. And I get edgy and nervous wondering how things are gonna pan out. Or at least I have in the past. We haven’t submitted anything since 2009 when Realms of Cthulhu made the long list, but not the short list for the Origins Awards. This was a real heartbreaker for all of the Blurry Ones.

I lamented for a bit, then got back up on the horse and got back to work. You, our fans, dig our work. You play our games. You support us in countless ways. At the end of the day, that speaks far more loudly than any award could. Don’t get me wrong, though. Would I dig professional accolades? Absolutely. I’m competitive. Remember?

Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu!
