Rainy Days and Mondays
Memphis reminded us all it was December yesterday with rains and cold and carried it over into Monday. I’m still recovering and stay huddled beneath the covers a bit longer than usual before I started my day. The creativity has been running through my head in the nocturnal hours. I dreamt of several meetings with various members of my staff–not the most exciting dreams, however, they remind me work is very much on my mind.
This morning, I decided to spend a day away from Echo of Dead Leaves and did a bit of general creative writing before turning my attention towards another pending project the likes of which I cannot say. What I’ll be doing is collecting a bit of general information for this other project and my mind will chew on it in the background when I return to Echo of Dead Leaves. The plan for Echo is essentially for me to read through everything I’ve got to date and begin to fill in the gaps. The next step is primarily mechanical as I analyze and note weaknesses in the overall structure after which I’ll come back and do all the creative stuff. That just doesn’t feel like what I should be tackling today, however, so I’m not. As the year comes to a close, I’m allowing myself the opportunity to gear down just a bit, so we can hit 2012 with a vengeance.
Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu!
