Shaintar: Legends Arise (Beta Players Guide)
Sean Patrick Fannon’s vision comes to life for Savage Worlds in this all new iteration brought to you by Reality Blurs.
There are two core books planned for release. This generous excerpt from the first book is nearly two hundred pages in length and covers the complete character creation rules to be found in the final release of Legends Arise. All the races have been retooled and expanded out with more options than you can shake a stick at (along the lines of what you’ve seen in RunePunk).
You’ll find the synergy of proven elements, such as Defining Interests, alongside innovative new bits, such as the extensive Power Edges, which will let you take your magical mayhem to another level entirely.
“I’m incredibly proud and excited by what we’ve accomplished here, and I can’t wait to read and hear what you all think of the material we’re sharing. This is our gift to all of you for you long-standing support of both Reality Blurs and of Shaintar.”“Make your characters. Tell your stories. Bring them to the cons, and let’s craft Legends together!” – Sean Patrick Fannon
Reality Blurs has been designing materials for Savage Worlds for over eight years, and is the oldest third party licensee. We’ve taken our expertise and worked with Sean Patrick Fannon to craft the most expansive expression of Shaintar to date.
Check it out. Talk to us on our forums. Spread the word around. Please send folks to our website to get it. Sure, it’s free, but we want to be able to communicate with fans of the property.
Eleven races as following are included (the number of racial edges for each in parentheses, below). Yes. For those who like to know the numbers, that’s ninety-five Racial Edges, not counting all the other Edges created from whole cloth (or ported over and tweaked from other works, such as Agents of Oblivion, Iron Dynasty, and Ravaged Earth).

It’s no secret that I’ve been a huge fan of Shaintar since the last incarnation, but this is beyond excellent. I’m enjoying the Beta Players Guide and look forward to the upcoming set of products. Thanks!

I’ve downloaded the beta PG and I really like what I see so far. Sean has alot of ideas I agree with that seem to meld the action/fantasy movies or we’ve all seen and the rules that help emulate them. Who would not want to shot arrows at enemies while sliding on a shield down a set of stairs or whirl a weapon around your warrior to keep foes at bay or even when battered, bruised and out od Essence, your druid dig deep within his soul in order to cast a blast spell and save the day.
It will be great to see the final version, with all the layout, illustrations and great ideas. I truly like the racial edges as well most of the setting rules such as ”Digging Deep” and ”Palpable Hits”
One thing that i’ve just noticed is that the Professional edge; Kor-In Martial Artist is missing. hopefully it will appear in the final version. Apart from that, great work and congratulations to all involved.

I’m sorry, I just saw that the Kor-In edge is there but in the Korindian racial edges section. My bad!
