Tears in the Rain

Rutger Hauer passed away today. He had a long, illustrious career, mostly with the sci-fi/fantasy genre and is best known for his role in Bladerunner as Roy Batty and the incredible monologue therein.

If you’ve not seen Bladerunner, you should. Heck, go to the source and read the book it’s based on,  Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?  Take a deep dive and check out all of Philip K. Dick’s works. Great stuff. Great stuff.

In Bladerunner, he improvised a monologue which makes it one of the most well-known monologues in movies. Great stuff. Pour one out for, Mr. Hauer.

Think wisely. Write well.

Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu.
