Work Trifecta
Today was a most interesting day. I did a bit of writing and research for Agents of Oblivion, laid out and edited some Iron Dynasty material, and jotted down some notes on future RunePunk stuff. I also managed to sneak a nap in there, as this past weekend was really busy, with my buddy, Barry, coming down from Nebraska. We managed to catch Thor, play a game of Pandemic, and I ran this week’s release for him, First Blood, one of my favorite adventures. It was thrown together at the last minute but it was an absolute blast. I advanced the kesshi to Veteran Rank and they could pull off some nifty tricks. We wanted a ninja, so he could see if the shuriken were as deadly as some folks thought. They were no more excessive than anything else in the setting, and Iron Dynasty can be excessive in a very good way. The adventure is a mixture of action and intrigues and is my nod to Yojimbo [1. All add it’s not a direct riff, but was definitely influenced by some of what goes on in that most excellent Kurosawa masterpieces.]. It was a blast to run after my winter hiatus and I’m looking forward to doing more of the same as we move through spring and into the con season.
Apologies for the brevity, but I’ve a few more things to wrap up for the day.
Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu!
