RoleplayDNA Launches

If you check out The Dirt, you’ll see where there is a guest post from Ron Blessing (the host of many podcasts) and a longtime friend of the Blur and yours truly.

Today, I’m going to lame out and point you over there. I’ll come back tomorrow and put some links, but, y’know? Monday. Right? I fought it, and it won.

The highlights was when I listened to the show. The chemistry between the FIVE podcasters was great. Honestly, I thought it was going to be a bit busy. The truth is, no one stepped over anyone’s toes too much (unless they edited it out). Whether you agree with everything they say or not, you’ll find the discussions thought provoking. In Episode One, for example, Ron said something I didn’t agree with at all. His position was well reasoned, it just went against my grain. Maybe when YOU listen, you can figure out what I’m talking about. Let me know if you do and we can discuss it.

The thing is, it accomplished its goal of being a bunch of knowledgable folks hanging around talking games. You can tell they have an unadulterated love of the game and LOTS of different approaches and perspectives. This is good as STALENESS can KILL. (Remember that, kids!) You won’t want the show to end. Fear not. There is an Episode 0. You might even want to listen to that one first. Who knows? I listened to them in LIFO order. LIFO!

I’ll share one thing. As the most frequent guest on The Game’s the Thing, I hated to see it go away. This show looks to be a worthy successor. And guess what? I have already INFECTED it. Though I was not on the show, my name was INVOKED and Agents of Oblivion was mentioned a bit. What are you doing still reading this? Go give it a listen!

Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu!

P.S. It’s strictly RPG-centric, not system specific. The themes addressed could apply to various games. All in all, it looks to be something you won’t want to miss.
