Happy 4th of July

Hello All!

Whether you spend it celebrating with fireworks, barbecues, or just wonder from faraway shores why we love our our country, I want to wish each and every one of you a glorious 4th of July.

Here are a few quotes from Thomas Paine, best known as the author of Common Sense, a revolutionary, an early supporter of abolitionism, a Founding Father.

He who dares not offend cannot be honest.

To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead.

Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.

Reflect upon these. Take from them what you will.

Until next time, I bid you, dear reader, adieu.

P.S. It’s important to not allow groups of any stripe to reframe our symbols. That way lies the surrender of liberty. That way lies madness.
